As a local real estate broker, I’m very familiar with Chelan County’s current housing market. When analyzing property tax data in our County, there is a troubling discrepancy between what homes are selling for and what the Assessor’s office says they’re worth.
Our current appraisal system is outdated and flawed. Working-class and low-income homes are often assessed at or above market value. Meanwhile, high-value homes– waterfront properties, luxury vacation homes, and multifamily corporate apartment complexes–are assessed far below their actual worth. This imbalance shifts the tax burden away from expensive properties and onto everyday families, making our community less affordable.
If elected, my mission is to bring fairness and consistency to the Assessor’s office. I will update outdated practices by incorporating new appraisal technology to ensure precise and fair valuations for all property owners in our community. I will actively promote property tax exemptions and deferrals that keep families in their homes, prioritizing people over corporations. Finally, I will make the assessment process more transparent so you can easily understand and compare how your property is valued. Our county deserves an assessment process rooted in equity and transparency. I would be honored to earn your vote.

It has been an honor to serve as your Chelan County Assessor. Since being appointed in 2023 and elected by the voters, I have focused on fairness, transparency, and providing excellent customer service while ensuring assessments comply with Washington State law.
Property taxes remain one of the most important issues facing Chelan County property owners. My office works to ensure assessments are accurate, equitable, and clearly explained to taxpayers. I believe taxpayers deserve open communication and professional service from their assessor’s office.
During my time as assessor, I have worked to modernize office operations, improve public access to information, and cross-train staff to better serve our community. I have also worked with legislators in Olympia to support meaningful property tax relief for seniors, disabled citizens, and veterans, including legislation expanding eligibility and benefits under Washington’s exemption programs beginning in 2027.
With decades of experience in real estate, appraisal, and tax administration, I understand the challenges facing both taxpayers and local government. I will continue advocating for fair and equitable assessments, responsible leadership, and practical solutions that serve the people of Chelan County.
I respectfully ask for your vote to continue serving as your Chelan County Assessor.
