Virginia Shogren
statement likely AI I’m running for Clallam County Auditor to restore trust in
our elections and to make sure your tax dollars are spent wisely.
Secure, transparent elections with paper ballots you can
watch and count are the foundation of honest government. Clallam County
deserves elections where every ballot is verifiable, every process is
transparent, and the people–not software or untraceable methods–maintain
real oversight.
As Auditor, I will also fight for strong fiscal
responsibility. That means watching every county expense closely, cutting
waste, and running services efficiently. When government spends less, there’s
more money left in your pocket for your family, your bills, and your future.
I believe in simple, honest government that works for the
people–not special interests. We deserve accountability, lower costs, and real
oversight of our elections and our money.
Together, let’s put voters back in charge. I ask for your
support.
Virginia Shogren for Clallam County Auditor
Shoona Riggs
statement appears partly AI For the past 30 years, I have proudly called Clallam County home and dedicated 36 years to serving in the Clallam and Jefferson County Auditor’s Offices. Since being elected County Auditor in 2015, I have focused on professionalism, accountability, transparency, and responsible stewardship of public resources across all divisions of the office while providing responsive and respectful public service.
The Auditor’s Office serves nearly every resident through elections, licensing, recording services, payroll and financial oversight. I believe these essential services should be accurate, accessible, efficient, and delivered with integrity, fairness, compassion, and respect for every resident.
Public trust matters. My priority has always been protecting voter confidence and ensuring every eligible citizen has the opportunity to register and vote. Throughout my 25 years in elections administration, I have been committed to transparent, secure, and accurate elections conducted fairly, impartially, and in full compliance with the United States Constitution, federal law, and the Constitution and laws of the State of Washington.
I am honored to be endorsed by Secretary of State Steve Hobbs and county auditors across Washington, and to have the support of former Secretary of State Kim Wyman.
I respectfully ask for your vote.
