statement appears partly AII am fortunate to have been born and raised in Clallam County. Preserving our quality of life and public safety has become my life’s calling. Throughout my career, I’ve had the honor of working alongside, and leading, some of the most dedicated and professional law enforcement officers. Their commitment to justice for victims and to protecting our community inspires me every day. In recent years, decisions made at the state level have created significant challenges for public safety. We need leadership that consistently supports effective and accountable policing. That means strengthening our behavioral health systems, supporting drug enforcement efforts, and ensuring we have enough well-trained officers to serve our community. Not fewer. As your Sheriff, I will bring an unwavering commitment to protecting what matters to you most. Together, we will meet today’s challenges by providing professional, service-oriented law enforcement, strengthening partnerships with fellow agencies, holding offenders accountable, and working closely with our community through proactive policing programs.
