Staci Myklebust

(Prefers Independant Party) statement appears human

It has been an honor and privilege to serve as the County Clerk for the last 12 years. With a combined 23 years of experience, I understand the importance of protecting the integrity and accuracy of the Courts records. I am passionate and enthusiastic about the opportunity to continue to serve the public and support the Deputy Clerks who carry out the day-to-day operations with compassion and knowledge. I am a proud wife of 34 years, mom to two wonderful, successful kids, and dog mom to two Frenchies. As a lifelong Cowlitz County resident, I take pride in this county and will continue to do my part to promote access to the Courts and make the legal system easy and accessible. It is my goal to implement an electronic filing system and increase public services, while continuing to be responsible and honest with the taxpayer’s money. I am running as an Independent because I believe that this position is not about politics and access to the Courts should be fair and equal regardless of your political preference. I work for the People, not a Party. Please vote to re-elect Staci Myklebust for County Clerk, “Leading with Integrity”.

I am proud to run for Cowlitz County Clerk with a commitment to professionalism, accountability, and public service. As a U.S. Army veteran and lifelong Cowlitz County resident, I understand the importance of integrity, discipline, and serving the community with dedication. I have several years of experience within the local court system, including five years in the Cowlitz County Clerk’s Office. During my final two years there, I served as a Lead Deputy Clerk, helping oversee daily operations and ensuring cases and records were handled accurately and professionally. I currently work at Cowlitz County Juvenile Court, where I continue serving local families and supporting the important work of our courts. My experience has shown me how important the Clerk’s Office is in maintaining public trust and ensuring access to justice. I believe the office should be efficient, responsive, transparent, accessible, and committed to modernization that improves public service and keeps pace with the needs of our growing community. If elected, I will provide dependable leadership, strengthen customer service, support transparency, modernize office operations, and ensure the Clerk’s Office operates with fairness, accuracy, and respect for every person it serves.
