Cowlitz County Treasurer

It has been my pleasure to serve as your Cowlitz County Treasurer over the last eight years. As Treasurer, my most critical responsibility is safeguarding public funds. The Treasurer’s office is the custodian of all money for the County including our junior taxing districts, schools, ports, fire districts, etc. We have worked hard to create strong relationships with our districts and strive to provide the best customer service to our taxpayers and our districts. Over the past four years, my team and I have launched the Cowlitz County Investment Pool, increasing interest earnings while maintaining our top priority of safeguarding public funds. Fraud is increasing, and we need to consistently strengthen our process to address this challenge, we’ve implemented enhanced fraud-prevention measures on behalf of the county and our junior taxing districts. Additionally, our team remains committed to working closely with taxpayers to clarify the property tax process and provide them with the information and resources they need. I recognize the trust that the taxpayers have in our office and I take this trust very seriously to ensure we provide the highest level of service to the citizens of Cowlitz County.
