Jill Karmy
statement likely AI I have the honor of serving Cowlitz County as a Superior Court Judge, applying the law fairly, impartially, and with integrity. Every day, I make decisions that affect families, businesses, public safety, and individual rights. This tremendous responsibility requires experience and a deep understanding of diverse areas of the law.
As your incumbent judge, and with experience as a civil litigator and criminal prosecutor, I remain committed to equal justice, respect for every person who enters the courtroom, and decisions grounded in the law, not politics or ideology.
Judicial experience matters. Proven judicial temperament, balanced decision-making, and experience managing complex cases are essential to maintaining and increasing public confidence in our courts.
I am endorsed by all current Cowlitz County Superior Court judges, numerous other judicial officers in trial and appellate courts, and lawyers throughout the county and state. I respectfully ask for your vote so I may continue serving our community with fairness, independence, and experience.

statement appears human Justice relies on the rule of law. There is no place in our
courts for politics, personal opinion, or favoritism. Our courts need to be
fair while also holding people accountable.
As a Senior Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, Jacob handles complex
and high-profile criminal cases. His caseload consists of homicides, child sex
crimes, distribution of illegal drugs, and gun violence. Previously, when at
the Thurston County Prosecutor’s Office, he was the Serious Traffic Crimes
Prosecutor fighting to keep our roads safe. Jacob is also a member of the Cowlitz
County Multi-Disciplinary Team that addresses crimes against children. He has
spent his entire career fighting for victim rights and trying to make the
community safer. His career has been guided by the principle that the rule of
law protects both public safety and individual rights.
Not only does Jacob know his way around the courtroom, but he is also the Cowlitz County Prosecutor Office’s representative for the Washington State
Prosecutor Association’s Appellate Committee. Jacob is routinely the attorney of
record on cases at the Court of Appeals and Washington State Supreme Court. He brings not only real-life courtroom experience but a deep understanding of the law.
