statement likely AICowlitz County is entering one of the most challenging energy periods in decades, with “forecasted energy shortages and Washington State regulatory policies...on the table today.” In this moment, experience matters for every part of our community–working families, seniors, rural residents, local businesses, and major industries that depend on reliable, affordable power. Bruce Pollock brings that experience. He has represented Cowlitz PUD on the Energy Northwest Board of Directors and spent the last five years serving at the Washington Public Utility Districts Association, now as Vice-President of the Executive Board and slated to serve as President in 2027–2028. This statewide leadership ensures Cowlitz County has a strong voice in shaping the policies that affect all ratepayers. Bruce works collaboratively with the current Board, GM, and staff, “supporting the GM and staff while challenging the PUD to look to the future now” so the utility can meet its energy needs for the next 50 years. His 45 years of business leadership help him evaluate risk, strengthen reliability, and protect affordability for households and employers alike. Bruce is honored to continue serving Cowlitz County and asks for your support for another six years.
