I am running for fire commissioner to ensure residents have access to reliable emergency services while keeping costs reasonable. The newly created fire district will take some time and many steps to establish all the components of a functioning fire department. Legal, administrative, and operational components will require an active and engaged board in these first few years to create the foundations that will serve us for generations. I am confident I have the experience and education to help us through the required steps. Rimrock is, by its location, a high-fire-risk area, and residents deserve a planned response to protect themselves and their homes. This opportunity to establish a functioning fire district may be the single biggest improvement our community has seen in decades. I am excited to be a part of it.
