It has been a challenging but rewarding term. I am committed to continuing the strong leadership in your county government. Your Auditor team has held its own, stopping fraud and malfeasance while delivering superior elections, recording, and licensing services. I said 4 years ago: “I will build an Elections Team for the next 10 years.” That is always an ongoing process. We have delivered on a key piece of that goal by consolidating your Elections Division at our 404 W Clark St, Pasco location. I will continue to publicly press for voter roll integrity and improved election processes. The people overwhelmingly desire election integrity and assurance of the validity of the voter roll. Unbelievably, our state and others have refused to cooperate with our federal partners, taking a new stance on long-settled law and cooperative relationships. The state-level leadership inexplicably refuses to inspect what the public expects, offering weak, unsupportable excuses. We can do better. I say: “Trust but verify.” I will continue to work hard on your behalf to ensure we have an efficient, cost-effective government in Franklin County. I encourage you to use a county drop box to return your ballot. Thank you.
