The Coroner’s Office has an important responsibility–determining cause and manner of death in unattended or unnatural circumstances with professionalism and compassion. Changes made over the past four years haven’t always been easy, however with steady work and perseverance results are obtained. I’ve built strong working relationships with key partners, including law enforcement, pathologists, and prosecutors. These partnerships have been critical in resolving complex investigations and improving outcomes for families. I’ve remained committed to fiscal responsibility. Through grants and cooperative agreements, we’ve secured new equipment, improved training, and expanded our expertise–helping us serve the community effectively, efficiently, and thoroughly. In recent years, we’ve continued upgrading the office with advanced equipment while staying within budget. Even with a nationwide shortage of forensic pathologists, we’ve adapted by using forward-thinking tools like CT scans to assist in determining manner of death. One of our most significant accomplishments has been the completion of Franklin County’s first stand-alone morgue facility in October 2025–finished on time and under budget. I’ve also established partnerships with outside agencies that generate revenue for the county. It’s been an honor to serve as your Franklin County Coroner. I respectfully ask for your support and your vote for re-election.
