Hans-Joachim Engelke
statement appears humanI was born and raised in former West Germany. I legally immigrated to the USA in 1984 and became a Naturalized U S Citizen in 1989. We have been Basin City area residents since. Married for 45 years,3 children,3 grand children. Since taking office in January of 2025,I have dedicated a substantial amount of time and effort to become better educated in the many Port of Pasco, Mission and Vision relevant subject matters and building of the personal relationships that make it happen,by engaging with many local, state and national level Community, Business and Government stakeholders. I am very much encouraged by the path of diversified, responsible growth and the many tangible opportunities it has already produced, may they be associated with the Airport, Reimann I C, Big Pasco, AIMS Center, Ag Symbiosis Project or our support of the rural areas and communities. With over 50 years of association with Franklin County and it’s many supporting industries and issues impacting continued success, I feel that my experience qualifies me to effectively contribute to the Port of Pasco Commission, in order to identify beneficial economic options and opportunities for growth, job creation, income and tax base, today and for the future.
