My time as General Manager provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the vital governance relationship between a General Manager and the Board of Commissioners. I understand how these roles must collaborate to provide stable, transparent leadership, to manage the complex issues facing Franklin PUD at both local and regional levels. My experience equips me with a deep understanding of Franklin PUD’s key challenges: maintaining the Snake River Dams, ensuring dependable power availability at a reasonable cost, and safeguarding local control. These are some of the complex issues facing Franklin PUD and require an in-depth understanding to be able to navigate the best outcome for the ratepayers. I am running for PUD commissioner because Franklin PUD has given much to myself and family over the years and I want to make sure that the rate payers of Franklin County PUD District 2 continue to have a strong advocate representing them. My knowledge of public power and my dedication to this make me the most qualified candidate to serve you.
