It is an honor to serve as your Garfield County Treasurer and give back to the community that has given so much to me. Born and raised in Garfield County, I have spent 25 years serving our citizens and understand the importance of experienced, dependable local government. Public service has always been close to my heart. My mother, Cathy Summers, dedicated 30 years to the Treasurer’s Office, including 18 years as County Treasurer. Watching her serve our community with honesty, compassion, and integrity inspired me to follow in her footsteps. Since becoming Treasurer, I have worked to modernize our office while preserving the friendly, personal service Garfield County deserves. I implemented a new tax system providing taxpayers online access to property tax information. I am also working to provide a monthly property tax payment option for taxpayers without escrow accounts, giving families another way to budget for their taxes. I believe your Treasurer must be a careful steward of public funds while providing excellent service to every citizen. I remain committed to transparency, accountability, honesty, and integrity. Serving Garfield County is more than my job; it is a privilege, and I respectfully ask for your continued support.

I have had the privilege of serving as Chief Deputy Treasurer, gaining firsthand experience managing county finances, navigating the responsibilities of the office, and serving the public. My previous experience in banking has also given me a fresh perspective, along with the ability to adapt to new systems, processes, and challenges. Our community deserves a Treasurer who is accessible, engaged, accountable, and committed to serving the people. I will maintain a consistent presence in the office and lead with integrity, transparency, dependability, and a commitment to putting people first. The community we serve should always be at the center of every decision. Beyond my professional experience, I am actively involved in our community and deeply invested in the future of our county. This is where I am raising my children, and I hope it is where they will someday choose to raise their families. I am running because I believe in our community, I believe in the importance of this office, and I am ready to serve with integrity, dedication, and a commitment to doing what is best for the people of our county. I would be honored to have the support and votes from my fellow community members.
