Clayton Johnson

(States No Party Preference) statement appears human

For the past 9 years I have served the taxpayers of Grant County as the commercial/industrial appraiser and most recently as the sales analyst for the Assessor’s Office. With that experience and knowledge in multiple aspects of the Assessor’s Office, mixed with a willingness and desire for continuous improvement, I believe I am the best candidate to be the next Grant County Assessor. My mission is to bring integrity, transparency and fairness to property valuations in Grant County. Continual open dialogue with taxpayers is integral to building trust in our office and I plan to make that a top priority, as well as ensuring property valuations are fair and equitable. I will also foster an office environment where staff feel respected and have the tools necessary to best serve the public. It would be my honor to serve Grant County as your next Assessor. Vote for Clayton Johnson!

Anson Bartrand

(Prefers Republican Party) statement likely AI

I am running for Grant County Assessor because property owners deserve fair assessments, fair taxes, and an office that meets every statutory deadline. As a Republican, I believe government should respect private property rights and be a careful steward of taxpayers’ money. My professional experience includes serving as a CFO for a land investment and management company, where I have worked with budgets, property, financial records, and accountability. My legal education has also given me a strong understanding of statutes, administrative procedures, and following the law. As Assessor, I will work to ensure property is assessed accurately and fairly, provide taxpayers with an accessible office, and find responsible ways to reduce unnecessary spending. I will prioritize timely completion of required assessments and reports so that local governments receive the funding to which they are entitled. I ask for your vote for Anson Bartrand, conservative Republican, for Grant County Assessor.
