For nearly 3 decades, I have seen first-hand what is involved with property tax software conversions, implementation of ERP systems adhering to Washington State standardized BARS, and the introduction of investment software and maintaining investment broker relationships. I have spent nearly 30 years building and maintaining strong relationships with county departments, county taxing districts, and outside agencies. We all play a vital role in the transparent stewardship of public funds. Our county deserves a treasurer who protects taxpayer dollars through conservative financial practices, is focused on long-term financial health, and committed to efficient service for residents, businesses, and local agencies. I will prioritize accurate budgeting, responsible debt management, timely reporting, strengthening fraud prevention and cybersecurity safeguards, and utilizing the network of other Washington State County leadership to interpret state law, and adjust current county procedures to maximize efficiency, while ensuring every tax dollar is handled responsibly.
