(Prefers Democratic Party) statement appears human My proven experience at the Grays
Harbor Prosecutor’s Office and the Washington Association of Prosecuting
Attorneys (WAPA) makes me uniquely qualified to lead the office.
I served as a Grays Harbor Deputy Prosecutor and Chief Criminal Deputy for 11 years, prosecuting serious
crimes including drug dealing, rape, and murder. I’ve tried more than 85 cases
to a jury. I convicted the woman who stabbed an Aberdeen hotel
owner to death, and convicted the man responsible for the 2003 McCleary cold case rape. I’m also an appellate attorney, having defended more than 60 convictions on appeal.
At WAPA, I worked on recruiting and retention in rural counties, created the first statewide
boot camp for new prosecutors, and worked with nearly every county prosecutor
in Washington. I know what works in strong and effective prosecutor’s
offices.
During my time away from the Grays Harbor Prosecutor’s office, turnover increased dramatically. With too little training and the loss
of institutional knowledge, provable charges were reduced or dismissed. I
will fix this. I have the experience in this office and the statewide
perspective to rebuild stability, strengthen training, support victims and law
enforcement, and ensure serious criminals are held accountable. I ask for your
vote.

(Prefers Republican Party) statement appears AI Grays Harbor is not just where I work; it is where my family and I are deeply rooted in the community. As a husband, homeowner, business owner, CrossFit coach, and public servant, I care deeply about the future of the place we call home and the people who live here.
For more than 15 years, I have dedicated my career to protecting victims, pursuing justice, and standing up for public safety with integrity and transparency. I understand how crime impacts families, businesses, neighborhoods, and the sense of security every community deserves.
As a USMC veteran and career prosecutor, I believe accountability, structure, compassion, and support must work together to create lasting community change. I also believe leadership means setting the example through humility, transparency, and service; especially when the work becomes difficult.
Our community deserves a Prosecutor’s Office focused on integrity, accountability, and protecting the vulnerable; not politics as usual. I will work to build trust, support victims and families, and strengthen public safety while treating people fairly and respectfully. We have a duty to ensure victims have a voice. Together, we can build a safer and stronger future for Grays Harbor.
