My name is Charles “Chuck” Garland, and I’m proud to be running for Jefferson County Assessor. For the past several years, I’ve had the privilege of serving right here in the Assessor’s Office as a Residential Appraiser. Every day, I work to ensure that property values are fair, accurate, and grounded in real market data–because I know how much that matters to every homeowner and taxpayer in our community. Before joining the county, I built a career in management, sales, and operations, leading teams, improving systems, and delivering results. I also served in the United States Marine Corps, where I learned the values of discipline, integrity, and service–principles that continue to guide me today. I’m running because I believe in transparent government, fair taxation, and treating every resident with respect. The Assessor’s Office should be accessible, accountable, and committed to getting it right. I have the experience, the local knowledge, and the dedication to serve this community effectively from day one. It would be an honor to earn your trust and your vote. Thank you.
