Jefferson County Treasurer

It’s been an honor to serve as county treasurer since 2015. The Treasurer’s Office provides an essential role ensuring the safety and security of public funds for special purpose districts and county operations. I’m proud of my office’s achievements during challenging times. Over three terms, we experienced significant staffing turnover with retirements, implemented a new county-wide financial system, accommodated multiple legislative changes requiring software updates and state-wide collaboration, navigated significant demands of a pandemic, and continued to improve services. We’ve worked hard to ensure the integrity of our financial management and reporting. Priorities for the next term include: Continue implementation of the new financial accounting software to improve district accessibility to data, improve efficiency for our workforce, and maximize effectiveness of the systems; Continue engagement and collaboration with colleagues at other counties, state agencies and affiliate associations for the benefit of our local community; and Promote workforce training and professional development for the long-term success of our county financial team and develop tomorrow’s county leaders. I am dedicated to the integrity, efficiency and transparency of the office, our systems, information and financial accounting. I have dedicated my professional career to public service, and I would appreciate your vote.
