statement appears humanI am the Presiding Judge of Jefferson County District Court. I have served the Court and Jefferson County citizens in this capacity since 2019. Over the last seven years, my team and I successfully managed our many District Court cases during the constantly shifting Covid 19 landscape. Zoom is now available for nearly every type of hearing. This has allowed better access to the public, greater transparency, and more comprehensive interpretation services. I possess a firm commitment to public service and am a champion of our Behavioral Health Court. Behavioral Health Court benefits our community by reducing recidivism and protecting the public. This court is a collaborative effort involving mental health services, housing assistance, prosecutors, substance use disorder therapy, and law enforcement. I believe that expanding these therapeutic court services will only serve to help Jefferson County even more. I will continue serving as your Judge with courage, integrity, fairness and equality for all. I will remain committed to making fair, balanced and neutral decisions. I am also committed to treating every person accessing the court with courtesy and civility. My work as the District Court Judge has been a privilege and a pleasure. Thank you for your vote.
