Serving as a Seattle Municipal Court Judge has been an honor. Every day, I strive to ensure that all who enter my courtroom are treated with fairness, dignity, and respect, and that every decision is guided by the law, careful preparation, and impartial judgment. Before joining the Seattle Municipal Court in 2020, I presided as a Judge Pro Tempore in Seattle Municipal Court, King County District Court, and King County Superior Court (Juvenile Division). I also spent decades serving our legal system as a civil attorney and Senior Deputy Prosecuting Attorney. Those experiences gave me a broad understanding of our justice system and reinforced my commitment to equal justice under the law. As a Municipal Court Judge, I have helped strengthen public confidence in our courts by improving access to justice, modernizing court operations, and supporting innovative approaches that improve public safety. I currently preside over the Domestic Violence Intervention Project, an innovative court program that combines accountability with individualized treatment to reduce repeat violence and improve outcomes for survivors, families, and our community. I also serve on the Board of Governors of the District and Municipal Court Judges’ Association, co-chair its Rules Committee, and co-direct Seattle Youth Traffic Court, a restorative justice program that helps young people learn responsibility and civic engagement. Outside the courtroom, I have been an active volunteer in Seattle schools, youth sports, and community organizations while raising four children with my husband. I am proud to serve with independence, integrity, and compassion. I respectfully ask for your vote so I can continue upholding the rule of law, protecting equal justice, and serving the people of Seattle with fairness and respect.
