I serve as a substitute (Pro-Tem) judge in King County District Courts, ruling in thousands of cases, sometimes hearing more than 100 cases in a day. Yet each case and every participant matters. This position requires different skills than being an administrative law judge. I’ve acquired the right skills and experience over my 30-year career in trial courts to handle high volume caseloads and still decide each case with fairness and integrity. Judges should be non-partisan. I believe politics should play no role in our courts. I’m endorsed by people who know me by my good work, not by party affiliation. I’ve earned the highest rating, “Exceptionally Well Qualified” by multiple bar associations. Raised in Renton as a first-generation immigrant, my husband and I settled in Bellevue where we’ve resided for 25 years, raising our children through Bellevue schools and contributing to our community. I ask for your support to bring my experience to this elected role. Endorsed: Senator Manka Dhingra; Representative My-Linh Thai; Former King County Prosecutor Daniel Satterberg; Mayors Malakoutian and Sherlock; King County Superior, District Court and Municipal Court Judges; Councilmembers from Bellevue, Mercer Island, Redmond, Issaquah, Newcastle, Sammamish and Edmonds; National Women’s Political Caucus-Washington, and more.
