North Seattle deserves a City Councilmember who listens, responds, and delivers on our everyday needs. Seattle is a deeply progressive city. We have the resources, the talent, and the votes to tackle major challenges, but often City Hall feels disconnected from what people are experiencing day to day.
When the Fred Meyer in Lake City closed, my kids asked why nobody fought harder to save or replace it. I didn’t have a good answer. Families without cars lost access to groceries and pharmacy services overnight, and our city had no real plan. That’s not acceptable. Housing costs continue to skyrocket, pushing more people into instability and homelessness while longtime residents struggle to stay in the neighborhoods they love.
We need a councilmember who shows up, listens, and focuses on practical solutions. My priorities are straightforward: build more affordable housing, improve safety on Lake City Way and Aurora, support neighborhood businesses, strengthen gun violence prevention, protect immigrant communities from federal overreach, move us toward meeting our climate goals, and make sure ranked choice voting is successfully implemented in 2027 so voters trust and understand the system.
I live in Lake City with my husband Rob and our two kids. I work at FairVote Washington, where I work every day on democracy and coalition building across our state. From serving as PTA Advocacy Chair at John Rogers Elementary to organizing across Seattle, my work has always been about connecting people and delivering results.
I’d be honored to earn your vote.

I’m a 30-year District 5 resident, educator, union household member, first-generation immigrant, and civic leader. I chose North Seattle to raise our daughter and have spent my career teaching educators, helping immigrant-run small businesses, and strengthening community.
I’m a Democrat committed to improving the lives of working families, seniors, children, and immigrants. I’ll stand up to Trump when he threatens our communities and values.
District 5 has received inconsistent attention and fewer resources despite need. We’ve lost businesses and essential services, including Lake City’s only grocery store and pharmacy, and families face rising housing, food, childcare, and transportation costs. That is why I’m committed to setting up district offices on Aurora Ave and Lake City to increase accessibility to resources.
My first priority is affordability. I’ll reduce permitting delays to build housing faster, support mixed-income and workforce housing near transit, improve walkability, and recruit affordable grocery stores.
My second priority is addressing chronic homelessness with care, treatment, housing, and accountability. I’ll expand mental health and substance-use treatment, connect people to housing and services, and coordinate providers, first responders, SPD, and CARE. I support police staffing, gun violence prevention, and enforcement focused on violent crime and trafficking.
I don’t just identify problems; I’ve spent my career organizing solutions. When immigrants, working families, and small businesses were overlooked by big banks, I founded a community bank. As I noticed groceries becoming unaffordable, I began volunteering weekly at the food bank. My counseling training informs my understanding of behavioral health and treatment. On the King County Immigrant and Refugee Commission, I work to remove barriers to services.
