Kuljinder K. Dhillon
statement appears humanJudge Dhillon served King County for more than 30 years, prior to her appointment to the King County District Court in 2021. Before law school, she gave voice to crime victims as a Domestic Violence Victim Advocate at the King County Prosecutor’s Office. As an advocate, she brought first-hand perspective from different cultures about how domestic violence is regarded in other communities. Her unique perspective greatly assisted domestic violence victim/survivors. As a lawyer, she represented indigent defendants, earning a reputation as a highly regarded public defender, then private defense attorney. Judge Dhillon’s breadth of experience in the justice system serves her well as a judge, where she currently hears hundreds of criminal, small claim, and protection order cases in Seattle. She was also the judge for the Regional Domestic Violence Court, presiding over two years. In all cases she hears, Judge Dhillon strongly believes that everyone who comes before the court should be treated with respect, fairness, and impartiality. Judge Dhillon served as an advisory board member for The Judicial Institute 2021-2022, which is dedicated to diversifying Washington State’s judiciary. She currently serves on the Court’s Personnel Committee. Judge Dhillon would appreciate your vote in November!
