Joe Lombardi
(Prefers Democratic Party) statement appears human Years of mismanagement and poor leadership has led to experienced and talented prosecutors leaving the Kitsap County Prosecutor’s office, mishandled cases with violent offenders going free and cases where people’s rights are being violated. I’m running to restore confidence in our legal system and assure the highest standards of safety and justice.
As Kitsap County Prosecutor I will personally prosecute the most serious violent offenses and retain high-quality experienced trial prosecutors so dangerous people are no longer released back on our streets.
I will expand the use of proven diversion programs for low-level and first-time offenders that reduce rates of future reoffending and ensure people with mental health issues are offered the services they need to become productive members of our society. I will keep both ICE and national politics out of county cases.
I am not a politician, it was never my dream to run for office. I am a public servant who cares deeply for our community and who is frustrated by lack of good management making our county less safe. Together we can get Kitsap County back on track and stop the damage caused by incompetence. Learn more at joeforprosecutor.com.

(Prefers Democratic Party) statement appears human I have dedicated my career to prosecuting criminals, fighting for justice, and keeping Kitsap County safe. I’m running for re-election to continue this critical work.
My team is addressing crime at the source and improving our community through creation of the North Kitsap Recovery Resource Center and pre-arrest diversion program, and expansion of Kitsap THRIVE Court, Washington State’s first Girls Court, and the Tribe’s Welcome Home Program. We are saving money through our new civil litigation team, paperless office, and zero case backlogs, and all of our prosecutor positions have been filled. Currently we are creating a real time data website so the public can see cases filed and resolved. We will also become the first county in Washington to use Race Blind Charging, redacting race-identifying information from police reports.
I’m endorsed by every local Democratic elected official, the Kitsap County Democrats, and Kitsap County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Guild.
Kitsap is the community I grew up in, raised my family, and have devoted my 22+ year legal career. My legal background, government experience, and community service uniquely qualify me to lead. I will always strive to build a better place for all and I look forward to earning your support.
