I am running for Kitsap County Treasurer because I believe fiscally responsible government is essential to a strong community. During my time in the Treasurer’s Office, I have focused on protecting taxpayer resources while improving public service, and I want to continue that work moving forward. One of my first priorities was implementing no-fee e-check payments, providing taxpayers with a free and convenient electronic payment option. I also established an insured cash sweep program that has earned more than $2 million for the county general fund since its inception. Over the past seven years, we have developed a strategic five-year laddered investment approach designed to take advantage of changing market interest rates while reducing investment risk. This disciplined strategy has helped safely maximize returns on public funds. I am proud to be endorsed by the Kitsap County Democrats and the 26th Legislative District Democrats. As Treasurer, I will continue prioritizing responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars, transparency, and accessible customer service for the residents of Kitsap County.
