Vote Yes to keep South Kitsap schools safe, reliable, and ready for learning. Our students rely on safe and accessible buildings, security systems, and technology that works. The state doesn’t provide funding for most school repairs or for technology. South Kitsap relies on voter-approved levies to take care of the schools our community has built and to make sure they’re ready for student learning. Prop. 1 funds reliable technology to ensure students are ready for the future. Our classrooms and schools need technology, reliable networks, and cybersecurity systems that work. The levy would replace aging devices, improve school technology systems, and help protect student information. It would also reduce technology failures that can interrupt learning and school operations. Prop. 1 helps take care of what we have. Even South Kitsap’s newest schools are more than 30 years old. This levy would fund practical facility improvements, including work at the South Kitsap High School theater and gym. The levy also improves spaces that our whole community uses, such as synthetic turf and accessibility improvements at South Kitsap High School and Marcus Whitman Middle School. Prop. 1 is a responsible investment. Capital levy dollars stay in South Kitsap and may be used only for voter-approved safety, technology, and facility projects. Strong schools support students, families, neighborhoods, property values, and our economy. Acting now prevents more disruptive and expensive failures later. Vote yes by November 3 to take care of South Kitsap schools and ensure our students are ready to learn every day.
