With more than 20 years of prosecutorial experience, Jodi has handled thousands of cases ranging from misdemeanors to serious violent felonies, including homicide and sexual assault cases. She has earned the respect of law enforcement, colleagues, and victims throughout the county. She is a thoughtful, committed, and experienced attorney with exceptional legal abilities. As Chief Criminal Deputy Prosecutor, Jodi leads with integrity, professionalism, and compassion. Her experience extends beyond the courtroom through more than nine years serving on the office management team: working closely with the civil division, participating in leadership and legal advisory meetings, and spearheading changes within the office to improve productivity and efficiency. I am running as an Independent for Prosecutor because this critical position demands fair, effective, and accountable justice that protects our families, supports victims, and strengthens our communities, free from partisan politics. I was born and raised in Washington and have called Ellensburg home since 2010. I bring 25 years of prosecutorial experience, having handled thousands of cases, and a rare perspective as a current Public Defender has sharpened my ability to pursue just outcomes effectively. The Elected Prosecutor leads an office of attorneys and staff, whose work impacts every family in the county. My military service taught me that the best leaders develop their people. I will bring that same commitment to the Prosecutor’s office by mentoring and training talented prosecutors, investing in staff, and building a team that delivers the highest quality public service. As your Prosecutor, I will aggressively prosecute violent and repeat offenders; support victims and strengthen partnerships with law enforcement; balance accountability with smart prevention, diversion, and rehabilitation programs to reduce recidivism; and prioritize staff development, fiscal responsibility, and transparent operations.
