I am running for Okanogan County Commissioner because county government should be practical, transparent, accountable, and focused on the people it serves. District 3 deserves leadership that understands rural life firsthand and supports the hard work of families, farmers, ranchers, small businesses, and community institutions. My background has prepared me to serve effectively from day one. Through elected civic leadership, watershed planning work, legislative experience in the Washington State Senate, and years of managing the daily responsibilities of farm, family, and homeschooling operations, I have gained firsthand experience in budgeting, record keeping, policy review, public communication, and stakeholder coordination. I understand that public service is not about political theater. It is about sound judgment, follow-through, and making decisions that protect the long-term interests of Okanogan County. I believe in responsible stewardship of land and water, efficient government, proactive budgeting and spending, lower taxes, respect for taxpayers, and leadership grounded in integrity and accountability. As your commissioner, I will work to rebuild public trust, support a vibrant economy, protect local voices, and help ensure county government is responsive, honest, and effective. I’m invested in our future and would be honored to work for you.

I was born in Tonasket, Washington in 1963. I am a 3rd generation resident of Okanogan County. I have lived in the Oroville area my entire life and married to my wife Traci for 39 years. We have 3 grown children and 7 grandchildren. Public safety in all forms; EMS, LE, and Fire Fighting; are top priorities for the county and me. I will always uphold the Constitution of the United States as well as the WA State Constitution. I will always support and protect the first & second amendment rights of our citizens. I will continue to fight Olympia against state government overreach regarding excessive taxation and over regulation on our citizens. I will continue to support and fight for businesses beneficial to our county and communities. I understand that we are all part of one county and I will continue to give it the voice it deserves. Serving the people of Okanogan County is my job as an elected official. I take it seriously, and as County Commissioner, I understand that government is the Voice of the People. I humbly ask for your support to continue my service and protection of the rights and values of our county.
