As a lifelong resident of Okanogan County and dedicated public servant, I am honored to run for Okanogan County Coroner. Guided by my Christian faith and a commitment to serving others with compassion, integrity, and respect, I bring more than 28 years of law enforcement and investigative experience serving our community. My career began with the United States Forest Service and continued with the Okanogan County Jail, Winthrop Marshal’s Office, and Okanogan County Sheriff’s Office. I served as a K-9 handler, Sergeant, Detective Sergeant, and investigated numerous homicide cases, suspicious deaths, and complex investigations. With hundreds of death investigations completed during my career, I have the experience and leadership to serve our citizens professionally and compassionately. Since 2023, I have served as Chief Deputy Coroner for Okanogan County and am a state-certified Medicolegal Death Investigator. In this role, I work closely with families, medical professionals, law enforcement, and emergency responders, providing compassionate support and professionalism during life’s most difficult moments. The citizens of Okanogan County deserve a Coroner who prioritizes families with compassion and professionalism. My experience, leadership, and commitment to public service will ensure a seamless transition within the Coroner’s Office and continued dedicated service to our community.

Born at Burien General, I am a lifelong resident of Washington State. My husband Russ and I raised four children and are proud grandparents of Ethan, Addy, and Jackson. The Okanogan Valley is our chosen home. We love the beauty of the region and people who live here. As a medical business owner three times over, I understand the challenges of being self-employed, whether in healthcare, automotive repair or farming. As a former employee in large healthcare systems, I understand the complexities of regulations and compliance in healthcare and government. As a primary care provider at the VA, my team and I worked closely with adult protective services, local police departments and the courts to intervene and advocate for our most vulnerable Veterans. I am fiscally conservative. Okanogan County is experiencing a two-million-dollar budget deficit. I have a plan that will control costs in the coroner’s office while maintaining services. I am registered to attend the IACME Core Concepts of Medicolegal Death Investigations this July to add to my medical training. I am committed to protection for the vulnerable, compassion for living, and justice for the deceased. I appreciate your vote.
