Robert W. Grim
statement appears human The citizens of Okanogan County deserve the very best from their judiciary, which is why I am seeking election to the Okanogan County District Court. District Court is the legal forum that members of the public are most likely to encounter, where important decisions are made that affect individual lives and the community at large. As such, it is critical that those who have business before the court understand its processes and have their constitutional rights protected, and that the law be administered in an ethical, efficient, and even-handed manner.
In my decade of experience as an elected judge, I presided over approximately 70 jury trials, on charges ranging from DUI to First Degree Murder, as well as countless bench trials and other hearings in civil and criminal cases. I will be ready on day one to run a court that prioritizes public safety, public service, and promoting trust and confidence in our local government. Law enforcement, victim advocates, jurors, litigants, and attorneys of every stripe have commended my judgment, skill, and temperament, and I humbly request an opportunity to serve the community where I grew up in this challenging - yet rewarding - position for the next four years.
