I am proud of the work we have accomplished at the Okanogan County PUD. During my time as commissioner, I have supported efforts to keep rates low and have opposed unnecessary rate increases, with a firm NO VOTE, whenever possible. Even through the financial challenges caused by devastating wildfires that damaged utility infrastructure, we have successfully strengthened our financial reserves without placing additional burdens on ratepayers. I firmly believe that public funds belong to the people we serve. Every dollar saved is a dollar that remains in the pockets of our ratepayers. Through careful financial management and strong leadership, we have been able to invest in our electrical system for the future. Most importantly, I want to recognize the exceptional staff and linemen of the Okanogan County PUD. Their dedication and hard work help ensure that the lights stay on for our communities. It is truly a team effort, and I am honored to be part of it. I respectfully ask for your vote so I can continue working to keep rates affordable, strengthen our electrical infrastructure, and provide transparent, responsible leadership for the people of Okanogan County. It would be an honor to continue serving our communities.

It’s time for a change. Twelve years is long enough in any elected position! Commissioners can become complacent and satisfied with the status quo. As an auditor of governments in Washington State, I have seen many instances when the work of the Board is done by rote. Where the common phrase is “we have always done it that way”. Often times, new ideas and ways of doing business are shot down, rather than fleshing them out and evaluating their merit. I will bring a fresh perspective, relying on my years of education, business leadership, and exposure to what works and doesn’t work in government. The PUD is unique in that it is owned by the people of Okanogan County. You’re electing me to be your voice and your representative, to ensure the utility is run with thorough oversite and as efficiently and effectively as possible. I will always seek and be open to insight from the public, which includes the employees. I will attend all related trainings and organizations related to PUD operations. In this way, you can be certain that all options and opportunities are discussed and considered. I look forward to serving you as your PUD Commissioner.
