As your commissioner I will apply my skills with motivation to provide dependable and low-cost electricity to all PUD customers. I have extensive experience in construction, maintenance and efficient distribution of high voltage power lines in addition to completing 4 electrical engineering courses while attending the University of Idaho. Proven safety track record in the management and coordination of multiple work locations interfacing personnel with heavy mobile and stationary equipment. Comprehensive experience managing budgets, forecasts and cost controls. After retiring, my wife and I returned to live in Ferry County by choice.

Since my first term in 2009 the PUD has seen challenges to remain solvent. Maintaining 700 miles of power lines on our budget. State mandates involve i.e. electric powered service vehicles, and BPA pressure to provide power to outside service areas. Electric vehicles may work well in Olympia, but they do not fit well in our rural environment. Reducing power availability to the many public utilities through BPA outsourcing services greatly influences our local power rates. During my time serving District #3 I have assisted the PUD in acquiring $5 million dollars in grant funding. These funds enable F.C. PUD to update and extend our productivity, taking on the re-opening of Kinross Mine and providing unserved areas within our district. Thirty miles of underground line will be installed helping to reduce potential power outages. The experience I have gained in my years of service will help move Ferry County PUD forward, and I want to be here to see the many improvements implemented by this grant. I offer business experience, and common sense. Thank you for your past support, and I look forward to serving you again for a fourth term.
