My name is Scott Harmer, and I am a third generation Pacific County resident. My wife of 32 years, Erika, is a 2nd grade teacher in South Bend and my daughter, Abby, is Junior at Central Washington University. I started my legal career in the Pacific County Prosecutor’s Office handling cases ranging from speeding tickets to clamming violations. I progressed to prosecuting, and successfully trying multiple homicide cases, including one of the State’s first “3 strikes” cases. Upon leaving the prosecutor’s office, I have run my own private law practice in north Pacific County for more than two decades. My private practice has provided me with diverse experiences ranging from homicide defense to multiple civil suit recoveries for residents of Pacific County that total, in aggregate, over $1.2 million. In addition to my private practice, I have also served as a Special Assistant to the Washington State Attorney General providing legal counsel to the Department of Children, Youth and Families in Pacific and Wahkiakum Counties. I will be proud to continue to serve my community as the Pacific County North District Court Judge.
