Vote Yes to Keep Riverside Students Supported Proposition 1 replaces the current EPO levy when it expires; it does not create a second levy. Voting yes means continuing a local investment in the programs, staff, and opportunities that help Riverside students succeed. We know what these programs mean to our own children, and we want every student in our district to have access to them. Please vote yes on Riverside School District Proposition 1. As parents of children who attended or attend all Riverside schools, we see firsthand how important these programs are at every stage of a student’s education. The Educational Programs and Operations levy helps provide opportunities and support that state funding does not fully cover. This replacement levy supports elective and advanced courses, vocational and career-focused education, school nurses, counselors, technology support, safety and security, performing arts, athletics, and extracurricular activities. These are not “extras” to the students who depend on them. They help children discover their strengths, prepare for life after graduation, stay connected to school, and receive academic, emotional, and health support when they need it. Families throughout our district benefit from these services every day. Whether a student needs a counselor, wants to take an advanced class, participate in music or sports, learn job-ready skills, or simply attend a school that is safe and properly supported, this levy makes those opportunities possible.
