Pierce County isn’t just where I live, it’s my home. It’s where I was born, raised, built my businesses, and where my wife and I raise our daughter on our multi-generational family Christmas tree farm. It’s also where I’ve proudly served our community for decades through civic organizations, county advisory commissions, and most recently, as an elected member of the Charter Review Commission from District 1. With more than 30 years of experience in real estate, construction, and business, I’ve seen firsthand how local decisions affect everyday lives. I’ve worked alongside families, farmers, business owners, and public agencies to find practical solutions to real problems. I know how to listen, bring people together, and deliver results. Pierce County faces serious challenges: rising housing costs, strained infrastructure, public safety concerns, homelessness, and the need for responsible, long-term stewardship of taxpayer dollars. I’ll bring a practical, business-minded, community-first approach to the Council. Government should be efficient, accountable, and grounded in real-world perspective. I will always put people ahead of partisan politics and keep decision-making focused on the people who live and work here. I believe leadership requires action, accountability, and meaningful results. I’m not running to become a career politician. I’m running because I care deeply about this community and believe that the skills and experience I’ve spent a lifetime building can be used to serve it well. It would be a true honor to earn your trust, your support, and your vote.

I love calling District 1 home - its natural beauty, strong communities, and hard working people are the reasons my family and I live here. Like all of you, we see every day how the decisions made by the County Council impact our community. From access to services, to housing people can actually afford, to reliable roads. As District 1 grows, we need representation that will center our voices. That’s why I’m running for Pierce County Council. As a social worker, I’ve advocated for survivors of domestic violence, supporting their access to services, safety, and stability. Through my work at a local community college, I’ve established programs that ensure students have access to food, housing, and the resources they need. And as your representative and Chair of the Pierce County Charter Review, I led the commission as we worked together to address the needs of community members from across the county by collaborating, finding common ground, and compromising. I’m ready to bring the voices of District 1 to the County Council as your next councilmember. I will prioritize Council policies that make it easier for people to stay here, like affordable housing, access to care, and rural infrastructure. I’m committed to listening and learning from you, advocating for what will serve our district, and ensuring the Council is doing what’s best for Pierce County. I’d be honored to earn your vote to represent District 1 on the Pierce County Council. It’s time we find common ground for the common good.
