I believe our judiciary must reflect the values of the community it serves. That conviction – backed by a proven record on the bench – is why I am running for Pierce County District Court Judge. My career in private practice, public defense, and the judiciary gives me a well-rounded courtroom perspective. I have served as a Municipal Court Judge, Superior Court Commissioner, and Judge Pro Tem. I know how to run a courtroom that is fair, efficient, and accessible. My commitment to service has been recognized with the DMCJA Presidential Award and UW Tacoma’s Celebrando Communidad Award for Social Justice. Tacoma is the first place I called home in this country. Pierce County helped shape who I am, and I am ready to bring my experience back to serve the community that gave me so much. Mike will hold violent offenders accountable while expanding therapeutic and alternative programs that reduce repeat offenses. Outside courtrooms, he’s volunteered with foster youth programs, veterans’ legal clinics, and served on the Brady Committee, ensuring law enforcement upholds the highest standards.
