My twenty-three-year military career as a naval officer coupled with executive experience as mayor and legislative experience as a state senator has provided a unique perspective on leadership and working with others to accomplish mutual goals. In an increasingly divisive political environment, now more than ever, we need people who reflect the values and needs of our rural communities and can provide steady, pragmatic leadership. Growing up in rural Skagit County, working in the fields, instilled a deep and personal connection to our county and its people. My Skagit roots run deep; my wife and I raised our children here. No state senator in the history of the legislative district has brought more of your hard-earned tax dollars back to east Skagit County for projects that improved our community. I understand the importance of promoting our farms and businesses and the need to reduce regulatory and tax burdens at all levels of government. No other candidate has my depth of experience or record of achievements for Skagit County. I humbly ask for your vote that I may continue to serve and improve our communities. I look forward to connecting with you and hearing your ideas for a better Skagit County.

Like any parent, I care about whether my children will be able to afford to live, raise a family, and build a future in Skagit County 20 years from now. Those concerns guide my work as your Skagit County Commissioner. Before public service, I spent two decades in the automotive industry, where I learned the value of accountability, problem-solving, and doing the job right. Trust and respect are earned through integrity and diligence, a principle I bring to county government every day. Skagit County should be a place where hard work pays off, local businesses can grow, and young families have a reason to stay. That means protecting taxpayer dollars, planning responsibly for growth, and focusing on solutions to affordability. I believe people deserve local leaders who listen, stay focused on the work, and follow through. As commissioner, I have helped secure grant funding, supported local agriculture, and strengthened flood protection for our communities. I’ve traveled across the county, meeting residents where they are and hearing directly from the people I serve. Endorsed by Rick Larsen, Lisa Janicki, Julia Johnson, and many others. I would be honored to earn your vote to continue serving as your Skagit County Commissioner.
