I am running for Skagit County Coroner to provide our community with an essential public service. I will ensure the office continues its mission of providing independent, compassionate, and professional medicolegal death investigations, while cooperating fully with all investigative partners. Most importantly, I will ensure that every death is investigated thoroughly and with absolute respect for the decedents and their families. I will work with relatives to clearly explain the process and timeline of a death investigation and do everything possible to help families. I will be a coroner who actively responds to death scenes and participates fully in investigations. I bring years of experience as a lead microbiologist and public health professional, directly managing day-to-day laboratory operations under strict state and federal regulations. I have always held my teams and operations to the highest scientific standards. I will prioritize clear, straightforward communication, ensuring families receive needed updates and that our partner agencies stay fully informed. Additionally, I will actively track and analyze Skagit County death statistics, making this data available to the public to help inform community safety decisions. I would be honored to serve the people of Skagit County and I respectfully ask for your vote.

I am running for Coroner because Skagit County families deserve answers that are timely, accurate, and delivered with compassion. When my only son died in a car crash, I lived the long wait that grieving families endure. No family should wait in silence for the truth. The Coroner’s office succeeds on management, budgeting, and administrative oversight, and my career prepared me for exactly that. As General Manager of one of the world’s largest flower bulb farms, I led large teams and complex operations. As CEO of a technology company, I built budgets, met deadlines, and answered for results. I held the nation’s highest civilian security clearance, serving at the White House West Wing and Pacific Naval Command Center. Our Coroner’s department is understaffed; I will lobby for the full staffing this vital work demands. My compassion extends to every grieving family and to the coroner team carrying this work daily. As your Coroner, I will deliver timely, rigorous investigations; communicate clearly with every family, including our Swinomish, Upper Skagit, and Sauk-Suiattle neighbors; publish open data on overdose and fentanyl deaths; and complete every certification Washington State requires. Truth. Transparency. Trust. I would be honored to earn your vote.
