statement appears human

Pat Eason has served as the Court Commissioner for our Skagit County District Court since July 2021. In this important role, he has performed all the expected duties of a District Court Judge by presiding over criminal jury trials, guilty plea and sentencing hearings, criminal and civil pre-trial dockets, protection order hearings, small claims matters, and infraction hearings. Pat has served as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, an Assistant City Attorney, City Prosecutor, and represented private clients in civil litigation, domestic matters, and criminal defense while in private practice. Seeing how court participants’ lives are affected by their experiences in our legal system through all these perspectives makes him uniquely qualified to serve you as District Court Judge. Pat has deep generational ties with Skagit County. He and his wife, Rachelle, have raised their family here, and all six of their children have attended Sedro-Woolley District public schools. Both Pat and Rachelle are active Rotary Club members. Endorsements: More than 20 past and present Skagit County judges; retired County Commissioner Lisa Janicki and Commissioner Peter Browning; State Senator Keith Wagoner; Mount Vernon Mayor Peter Donovan; Skagit County Prosecuting Attorney Rich Weyrich; International Association of Machinists & Aerospace Workers (IAM 751)
