Safe, affordable water is the PUD’s most important promise to its customers. Honoring that promise takes disciplined planning and collaborative leadership. For six years, that has been my standard – and my record.
Together, our board has navigated rising costs without compromising affordability, built a long-range Strategic Plan to secure our water future, and forged a durable water-sharing agreement that keeps Skagit farms irrigated through summer droughts while protecting the instream flows our rivers and salmon depend on.
As CEO of United Way of Skagit County, and a farmer, I see every day what water costs mean to working families and businesses. I am committed to stretching every dollar – using every funding tool available so the cost of modernization never falls solely on our ratepayers.
Every decision in this seat involves tradeoffs – between farms and rivers, between infrastructure and affordability. Getting those tradeoffs right takes experience: the credibility to bring every stakeholder to the table, the consistency to keep them there, and a track record of turning competing interests into shared solutions.
Affordable. Resilient. Sustainable. Results worth sustaining – a record worth continuing – and my commitment to doing right by every ratepayer we serve.

I care deeply about the future of our community. My roots here have shaped my commitment to public service, responsible leadership, and protecting the quality of life that makes Skagit County such a special place to live.
Throughout my career I have been actively involved in organizations that strengthen our community and support local families. I have served on multiple boards, including Camp Fire Samish and the North Puget Sound Association of Realtors, where I continue to work collaboratively to support community growth, leadership, and service. In addition, I have proudly been a member of Skagit Rotary for the past 10 years, helping give back through volunteerism and local initiatives.
As a P.U.D Commissioner I will bring a strong work ethic, rate transparency, and a practical approach to decision-making. I am committed to ensuring reliable utility services, responsible stewardship of public resources, and thoughtful planning that benefits both current and future generations of Skagit County residents.
