As your commissioner for 12 years, I have worked to ensure the customers have a voice locally, statewide and regionally. Continually working to improve and rebuild the 90-year-old system has been challenging but I’m confident we are laying a solid foundation for the next 90 years. The utility industry is facing a challenging regulatory environment that is increasing costs and chances of power shortages. I have advocated for Skamania PUD, and will continue to encourage and support sound business practices with collaborative relationships between the PUD, communities, county and state. Thank you for trusting me with your vote.

Reliable utilities are essential, but rising costs are putting real pressure on working families, seniors, and small businesses. Aging infrastructure, purchased power, and major capital projects all affect your monthly bill, and ratepayers deserve clear answers. You shouldn’t have to go on a scavenger hunt to understand your rates. We should prioritize affordability, evaluating major projects carefully and reducing unnecessary exposure to outside energy costs that can be unpredictable. The PUD must protect reliability while being efficient, transparent, and responsible with every dollar. I hope to earn your trust and serve as a thoughtful advocate for ratepayers as your Commissioner.
