Anthony E. Howard
statement appears partly AIJudge Anthony Howard is a hard-working, no-nonsense judge who believes in common sense, accountability, and public safety. He knows the law must be enforced, but he also understands that some cases call for a more thoughtful approach to the underlying problems that bring people into the court system. Raised in a working-class union family, Judge Howard was the first in his family to graduate from high school. Since 2011, he has served Snohomish County on the bench in leadership roles. He is known for coming in early, staying late, and taking on the difficult projects others avoid. Judge Howard recently founded Youth Traffic Court to improve public safety by reaching teen drivers early, while they are still developing lifelong habits behind the wheel. The program gives young people responsibility, teaches accountability, and empowers them to make thoughtful decisions in real cases involving their peers. Judge Howard knows that people are complicated and no two cases are exactly alike. He listens carefully, holds people accountable, and works toward solutions that fit both the person and the problem. He respectfully asks for your vote. Judge Howard has broad support, including endorsements from all five County Councilmembers and the entire District Court bench.
