statement appears human24 years ago, I came before you and asked you for the opportunity to serve East Snohomish County as your District Court Judge and since then I’ve been honored to be elected six times in this role. I’ve made East Snohomish County my home since 1993. I raised my children here and have been an enthusiastic member of our community for the past 33 years. District Court is where I’ve wanted to be for my entire judicial career. For many people, this is the only contact they have with the judicial system. I believe in treating each person who comes into my courtroom with courtesy, dignity, and fairness, whether they are victims, witnesses, lawyers, or the accused. I enjoy the challenge of helping people resolve their disputes and find justice. In my free time, I enjoy square dancing, gardening, and playing guitar and singing old country music. You’ll see me at the Evergreen State Fair line dancing with West Coast Country Heat, and while there you might see one of my handmade quilts hanging in the display hall. I love this community, I love serving as your judge, and I respectfully ask for your continued support.
