South District Court - Judge Position 1 · Snohomish County

For the past 38 years, Judge Fraser has proudly served the residents of Snohomish County. Since 2013, she has done so as a District Court Judge. In the preceding 25 years, she was a trial attorney at the Snohomish County Public Defender Association and Attorney Administrator at the Snohomish County Office of Public Defense where she fought for pay parity and retirement security for Public Defenders. Through her varied experience, Judge Fraser has developed a deep and respectful understanding of the financial, social, and mental health challenges facing many of those who appear before her. She believes that justice requires compassion as well as accountability. She embraces her court’s therapeutic approach as the best way to help individuals move out of the legal system, improve their lives, and strengthen the community. Judge Fraser has been a member of the Lynnwood Rotary Club for the past 14 years and served as Club President.
