(Prefers Republican Party) statement appears human As Spokane County Treasurer and State Representative, I have worked with members of both parties to pass value-added legislation. As Treasurer, I spearheaded legislation to allow partial payments of any amount at any time and eliminated usurious late fees. I sponsored three bills this last session that passed unanimously. I also passed a bill on the House Floor that would preserve both salmon and dams along the Snake River. I had two wonderful mentors, the late Senator Bob McCaslin and Duane Alton. I believe it is wrong for our generation to leave posterity a world that is worse than ours.

(Prefers Democratic Party) statement appears human Like you, I am exhausted by finger-pointing in the news. Problem-solving requires practical, rational, bipartisan cooperation to address homelessness, gangs, and drugs facing us statewide. Community-oriented police service, coordinated with social services, is vital to address these issues. In Olympia, I’ll draw upon my work and life experience to guide legislation towards addressing very complex problems. I will seek solutions grounded in research while remembering Christian compassion.
I’ll push for improving quality of life in Eastern Washington: good skill-building jobs, quality education and healthcare, reasonable housing, safer communities, never forgetting responsible spending balanced against revenue. Visit RationalRobLD4.org for more information.
