(Prefers Republican Party) statement likely AIWhen I accepted the responsibility of serving as Stevens County Clerk, I understood that the office is a cornerstone of the justice system. My role is to safeguard Superior Court case records and financials, maintain essential services, and ensure the public can rely on the accuracy and accessibility of court information. With more than 32 years in county government, and 20 of those in the Clerk’s Office, I have approached this work with a focus on stewardship and modernization. During my term, we have digitized decades of microfilmed records, implemented electronic filing, improved jury management, and onboarded with the State Digital Archives. Current projects include working with Superior Court and the Stevens County Rural Library District to expand electronic filing and video-appearance options for residents in remote areas. I also serve on committees within the Washington State Association of County Clerks, collaborating statewide to strengthen best practices and improve service delivery. These efforts reflect my commitment to maintaining the integrity of the Clerk’s Office while preparing it for the future. My focus remains on accountability and ensuring that every resident has dependable access to the court system.
