For 33 years, I have called Stevens County home. Throughout my four decades as a Registered Nurse, I practiced “holistic nursing”, an approach that looks at the whole person and focuses on preventative care to avoid crisis. I am running for PUD Commissioner to bring that same balance and integrity to our county’s water and wastewater utility management. Our PUD is the backbone of our community. I believe in: A Holistic Approach: Managing our water and wastewater requires looking at the big picture. We must balance modern infrastructure needs with the preservation of our natural resources and private property rights. Preventative Stewardship: Just as in healthcare, preventative maintenance of our water and wastewater systems is far more cost-effective than reacting to emergencies. I will prioritize long-term stability to keep rates predictable. Integrity and Advocacy: As your Commissioner, my “patient” is the ratepayer. I will advocate for transparency and honest communication, ensuring that the PUD remains accountable to the people it serves. I have spent my life caring for people and protecting their interests. I am ready to use that experience to ensure District 2 has reliable, affordable, and sustainable water and sewer utilities for the next 33 years and beyond.
