(Prefers Democratic Party) statement appears human I am running for Assessor because I want to ensure residents of our county receive fair, accurate, and transparent appraisals. After a decade of proven experience, where I started as a field appraiser and now lead in a management role, I acquired the vital knowledge and technical expertise required to execute the complex challenges of this office. I am also the only accredited appraiser in this race.
Throughout my journey I have earned the trust and support of the current Assessor and staff. I am spearheading a technology transformation that will make the office more accessible and transparent.
Every parcel matters, and every assessment has a real impact on a taxpayer. This is why I will prioritize ensuring every property owner is fairly represented and heard. Trust is paramount in this job. Not only does this work depend on flawless execution of technical requirements, but it must be coupled with empathy and integrity.
Thurston County is my home. It’s where my wife and I are raising our four children, and I care deeply about our community. I will lead with trust and impartiality, and will be dedicated to serving the people of our county. I ask for your vote.

(Prefers Democratic Party) statement likely AI The Assessor’s Office is more than a technical office; it is an executive leadership role responsible for people, budgets, systems, and fair, accurate property valuations. Thurston County deserves an Assessor who is present, accessible, and focused on making the office work better for the people it serves.
I bring experience in local government, executive-level administration, and small business leadership. I previously worked in the Assessor’s Office, facilitating budget and fiscal management, office operations, and office-wide administration. I continue to serve in county government, supporting public policy, constituent services, and coordination with local and state partners.
As Assessor, I will focus on the real challenges facing the office: workforce, budget, technology, and transparency. Experienced staff are retiring, workloads are growing, and county budgets are tight. I will strengthen training and mentorship, support a successful transition to modern systems, manage resources responsibly, and ensure staff have the tools they need to provide accurate, dependable service.
Property owners deserve clear answers before frustration turns into appeals. I will improve communication, make valuation information easier to understand, and be visible and responsive in the community. My goal is an Assessor’s Office that is fair, professional, accountable, and worthy of public trust.
