(Prefers Democratic Party) statement appears AI The Clerk’s Office is a place where people interact directly with the justice system, often during some of the most stressful moments of their lives. Whether someone is filing for protection, navigating family law, addressing a court matter, or seeking records, they deserve accurate information, compassionate service, and an office that is open and accessible to the public.
I am running for Thurston County Clerk to restore public trust, reopen meaningful access to the office, and ensure people are treated with dignity and respect. A person’s ability to access court services should not depend on income, disability, language, family crisis, or whether they can afford an attorney. My nearly 30 years of public service have prepared me to lead with both accountability and compassion.
I will work collaboratively with staff, labor, the courts, attorneys, county leaders, and community partners to address backlogs, improve service delivery, restore helpful in-person service, and build a healthier workplace culture. When staff are supported and the office functions well, the public receives better service.
Thurston County deserves a Clerk’s Office that is professional, responsive, accurate, accessible, and people-centered. I am ready to lead that work and would be honored to earn your vote.

(Prefers Independent Party) statement appears human I’m honored to currently serve as Deputy Clerk within the Clerk’s Office, diligently working with professionalism while supporting all Court operations. Now, I’m running to be your next County Clerk. I will expand the critical services our office provides while retaining our experienced staff whose institutional knowledge is fundamental to preserving the integrity of the meticulous work performed.
Access to justice is my highest priority and as your Clerk, my obligation shall be to protect your rights indefinitely. With restoration of our domestic violence assistance programs and in-person services successfully progressing, I’ll continue enhancing these capabilities with my firsthand experience to better support victims, children and families. I understand that constant collaboration and communication are the keys to overcoming challenges, and strengthens our partnership with the Superior Court and other law and justice agencies.
I believe the Clerk must be free from any political influence, just as our elected Judges are nonpartisan, to uphold public trust in our justice system.
I’d be truly honored to serve as your next County Clerk and vow to serve with integrity, accountability and exceptional customer service. Thank you Thurston County, with your vote, together we’ll ensure fair and impartial access to justice for all.
