Thurston County Treasurer

It has been an honor to serve as your Thurston County Treasurer for more than nine years. My entire career has been dedicated to public service. I have spent 39 years with Thurston County, previously served six years on the Lacey City Council, and currently serve on the Lacey Planning Commission. As Treasurer, I continue to pursue legislation that reduces the cost of government and improves the tools available to work with property owners who are delinquent on property taxes. It is important to meet people with respect, help them get back on track, and bring their accounts current whenever possible. As the cash and investment manager for Thurston County, I have introduced numerous cost-saving measures, including paperless statements and electronic filing of real estate transactions. In 2025, my investment pool returned more than $43 million to local governments, helping reduce the property tax burden. You deserve confidence that your Treasurer is safeguarding your hard-earned dollars. I will continue working to improve customer service and government efficiency while protecting your tax dollars.
